I come from a proud family that has been involved with public service for as long as I been alive, from my mother, Nikki Sanders, a single mother that profoundly defines an achieved Parent who can provide without the absent father and who gave her life to children safety and welfare at Jackson Public Schools; and my grandmother, Delores Finch, an ambitious and proud independent woman who takes no with disregard and cares for the disabled and elderly seven days a week without fault.
I take my stance to work with you, the people of District 72 and the state of Mississippi - for being #1 will mean that Mississippi is open for business and competitively credible next to any state of the union or state oversees... for Mississippi is where the discovery of academic, technological, and social advancement are harvested. We need to improve our schools and give our scholars an opportunity to prosper, our educators room to innovate, leave our women alone, keep our opinions from distorting facts and guarantee civil rights for all people, black, white, red and brown, gay, straight, woman, man, able and disabled; and make public safety - especially getting a control on crime starting with the city we do business in Jackson, Mississippi, which is my top priority.
With nearly two decades of not being polluted and venerable to the politics as usual or the notion that the people don't care, I know what it takes to bring solutions to the table, navigate the complicated issues brought to our communities, and get things done when presented to me and my colleagues.
