On Wednesday, August 7, ICE agents detained nearly 680 people in Mississippi in what’s believed to be the largest single-state immigration enforcement operation in our nation's history.
The government’s brutality and cruelty was intentional: Authorities planned the raids for the first day of public school in the state and left many families in crisis. What's more, the raid targeted factories where immigrant workers have organized unions, fought back against discrimination and sexual harassment, or challenged unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
The organizations listed are already mobilizing humanitarian support in MS. Please chip in whatever is meaningful to you help these families rebuild their lives.
