In 2022, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.
Independent abortion clinics continue to need our support. Independent providers care for the majority of people seeking abortion in the United States (three out of every five patients) but don’t receive nearly enough attention, funding, or institutional support.
When you split a donation between the clinics on this page, you’re helping build foundations for abortion access across the country. Reproductive healthcare will look different for Oklahoma’s Trust Women clinic and Tennessee’s CHOICES: Memphis Center for Reproductive Health clinic—two states where abortion bans were triggered when the Supreme Court ruled—than it will for Washington state’s Cedar River Clinics, where abortion access is protected.
Some of these clinics meet particular community needs, too, which will become more and more important as we regroup after the court’s ruling. For example, carafem works to provide abortion via mail with pills in eligible states, as well as running in-person health centers.
Many things about the future of abortion are uncertain, but the fact that you can have an immediate impact by donating to independent clinics right now is crystal clear. Please chip in $1 to support each of these abortion providers as they navigate a post-Roe world.
