Democrats have their best shot in decades to turn Texas blue up and down the ballot this year. Daily Kos is focused on two key battles:

• We've endorsed Democrat MJ Hegar in her fight to unseat Republican Sen. John Cornyn, where polls show a close race that only keeps getting closer.
• We've also endorsed a slate of fantastic candidates running for the Texas state House, where Democrats need to flip just nine seats to take the majority from the GOP and are in an amazing position to do so.
