We're not gonna lie: Holding the Senate in 2024 is going to be hard. Democrats are defending 23 seats to just 11 for Republicans—and two of our most vulnerable incumbents are in red states.
But Democrats have defied political gravity before. In 2020, against all odds, we flipped not one but two seats in Georgia in those epic runoffs, enough to retake the majority. And in 2022, we gained a seat by flipping Pennsylvania, despite the fact that the party in power almost always loses ground in midterm years.
That means only one thing's for sure: You can't draw any foregone conclusions about what this year will hold.
That's why Daily Kos has put together a slate of four critical Senate races. We need to defend our two most vulnerable open seats in Arizona and Michigan, and we need to expand the playing field by going on offense in Florida and Texas.
If anyone tries to tell you Democrats can't win the Senate again, remind them how we beat the odds in 2020 and 2022—and send them this link.
Please donate $10 or even $20 apiece to each of these races to help Democrats keep the Senate blue in 2024!
