Republican Gov. Paul LePage has vetoed Medicaid expansion in Maine five times, so reformers are going straight to voters: This November, Mainers will have the chance to expand Medicaid at the ballot box
If Question 2 passes, 70,000 Maine residents would newly be eligible for Medicaid, offering them access to health coverage and lifesaving medical care. It would make an enormous difference in the lives of so many.
But conservatives who hate the thought of helping the less fortunate stand ready to oppose this measure, just as they have in state after state, so we need to make sure organizers have the resources they need to educate voters.
Can you chip in $3 to Mainers for Health Care so that we can help provide healthcare for 70,000 low-income Mainers?
