Kentucky lawmakers have passed a bill denying access to constitutionally protected abortion care.
Now, a constitutional amendment is on the ballot for November 2022 that, if approved by Kentucky voters, will remove the right to abortion from the state Constitution, making these attacks on reproductive care permanent and pre-empting any state court from protecting abortion care in the absence of federal protections. These bans are a direct attack on Kentuckians’ right to reproductive care and the agency to decide their own futures.
Our partners at the Protect Kentucky Access coalition, Commonwealth Alliance Voter Engagement, Showing Up for Racial Justice, and Black Leadership Action Coalition of Kentucky are already on the ground defending abortion access and reproductive freedom.
In addition to clinic defense, litigation, advocacy, providing practical support for those seeking reproductive care and movement building, they are now working to defeat this odious constitutional amendment.
Please chip in $5 to support Kentucky's reproductive freedom movement. Every single dollar will go towards defeating this constitutional amendment, supporting patients, litigation, advocacy, and expanding reproductive health care access in Kentucky.
