Ensure every vote for Dave is counted in CA-47!

Thank you for your support for Dave in the primary and/or general election! As we have made clear from the beginning, this election will be close and could be decided by less than a few hundred votes. While we remain optimistic about our chances heading into Election Day, it would be irresponsible for us not to plan for all scenarios, including one where a recount proves necessary. Here’s where we need your support one last time.   

California state law does not provide for an “automatic” recount paid for by the government. We can request a recount, but we would be responsible for the cost. We have set up this account to cover costs associated with a recount, including but not limited to legal fees, voter protection efforts, and campaign staff payroll after Election Day – these contributions would not go towards current campaign expenses like advertisements on television, social media, or mail. Any donations to this account will ensure every vote for Dave is counted and that he becomes the next congressman for California’s 47th Congressional District!

If Dave wins without the need for a recount, we can refund your contributions, or reallocate them to his re-election. We just want to make sure we have this pot of money ready to go just in case as a safety net.
