My Commitment to Concord

I’m running for Concord City Council to keep our city moving forward — a safe, welcoming community where families can live, work, and thrive. Concord has enormous potential, and with steady leadership we can strengthen what works and fix what doesn’t.

Public Safety

Safety is a culture — a shared attitude and a community mindset. Concord’s Police, Fire, and Health services are strong, and we need to sustain that as the city grows. We will strengthen safety through partnerships, community engagement, and expanded emergency‑preparedness programs.

Green Growth

Concord’s future depends on responsible development that protects open space and supports clean‑energy practices. If we lack the budget to invest directly, we can partner with regional agencies, nonprofits, and private innovators to advance long‑term environmental stability.

Economic Development

New businesses mean local jobs and new revenue — and that revenue helps maintain the services residents rely on. Concord doesn't need to fund major initiatives alone, we can build coalitions with business owners, chambers, and regional economic partners to support smart growth. Our downtown area near the BART station is a bonanza waiting to be opened

Youth Services

Our kids need safe places to learn, grow, and build skills. We can partner with schools, nonprofits, faith organizations, and local employers to expand recreation, job training, mentorship, and civic engagement opportunities. Union members on the picket line talked about reopening a closed machine shop at a local high school and volunteering to teach shop. We need to help ideas like this take root — and replicate them across the city.

Seniors & Veterans

Supporting seniors and veterans requires coordination. We will work with county agencies, healthcare providers, transit partners, and housing organizations to expand access to affordable housing, wellness programs, mobility options, and safety services.

Local Labor

Concord projects should use skilled, trained local workers who know their trades and follow safety standards. By partnering with local labor groups and certified professionals, we ensure projects are done right the first time — and the benefits stay in our community.
