Public education today is our economy tomorrow, and school board members play a critical role in protecting our investment in public schools – and our children. Unfortunately, school board elections often receive little attention from voters who expect public education to be a student-centered, non-partisan issue, yet have seen school board elections become a battleground for culture wars.
The parents behind our political committee have been on the ground across the state listening to, commiserating with, and learning from pro-public education school board candidates and supporters. From those conversations, we’ve developed a plan to help public education champions compete as school board candidates in today's political climate. Help Out Public Education (HOPE) was formed to be aggressive in identifying and developing pro-public education campaigns, raising awareness about the timing and importance of school board elections, and focusing on No Party Affiliation (NPA) and small county voters.
If you believe that public education is worth fighting for, please support our statewide effort to Help Out Public Education by contributing to HOPE!
