For 22 years, Dr. Laura Andreson has dedicated her life to caring for thousands of women and their families as an OB/GYN. For the past six years, Franklin, Tennessee, has been her home, where she’s built a thriving practice and become an integral part of the community.
In June 2022, the Dobbs decision abruptly changed Laura's world. Providing professional, necessary medical care to her patients suddenly put her at risk of breaking the law. This pivotal moment compelled Laura to take action. She began speaking out, talking to legislators, and attending committee meetings at the Capitol.
Despite the clear voices of Tennesseans demanding control over their reproductive rights, pragmatic gun safety legistlation, strong support for public schools, and comprehensive medical care for the LGBTQ+ community, our legislators continue to ignore these urgent needs.
With unwavering support from her husband, two sons, and two very spoiled Labrador Retrievers, Laura decided it was time to make a real change. She’s running for State Representative for House District 63 to ensure every Tennessean’s voice is heard.
Laura has been honored to serve her patients for many years and now hopes to serve her neighbors and all Tennesseans in a greater capacity. But she can’t do it alone.
