I’m Drew Howells, a medically retired veteran, former military public affairs specialist, and part of the core team that drafted Proposition 2 and helped develop the Utah Medical Cannabis Act.
I have already helped ordinary Utahns change state law from outside the Capitol. Now I’m running to do that work inside it.
Ken Ivory voted to replace Proposition 2 after Utah voters approved it. He has fought Proposition 4 and the people’s right to fair, voter-approved redistricting.
He is also the chief architect of Utah’s statewide book-ban system, allowing a handful of districts to decide what students can read across the entire state.
It is the same pattern every time: Ken Ivory does not trust voters, local communities, teachers, librarians, patients, or parents to make their own decisions. He trusts government power, as long as he is the one controlling it.
This seat can flip, but we need the resources to reach voters across West Jordan, Sandy, and Midvale.
House District 39 belongs to the people who live here, not lobbyists, ideological interest groups, or anyone who treats public office like a lifetime appointment.
Help us win it back.
