I am thrilled to share with you a significant decision that I have made—one that is rooted in a deep commitment to positive change and progress for our beloved state and region. Today, I am officially announcing my candidacy for the State Senate, with a resolute goal to establish Parity, Equity, and Balance within the NC General Assembly and usher in a new era of representation that truly reflects the diverse needs and aspirations of our community.

Previously serving this community in the North Carolina House of Representatives was the honor of my lifetime, and I was able to be the pragmatic legislator that our region deserves and bring tangible results back to our neighbors. Over the years, we have seen the impact of decisions made at the legislative level, and it is evident that our great state deserves leadership that is forward-thinking and dedicated to the well-being of every citizen. I am ready to roll up my sleeves, and bring positive change back to Raleigh.

A supermajority is not healthy for our state, legislating is not about division; it's about creating a more inclusive and effective government. Together, we can build a North Carolina that we are all proud to call home—a state that thrives on unity, diversity, and progress.
