Fred Durhal is a life-long Detroiter who has dedicated over a decade of his career to delivering for Detroit.  Whether he was serving in Lansing as the Assistant Democratic Leader of the House of Representatives, the Ranking Democrat of the Appropriations Committee, or a Member of the Detroit City Council where he Chairs the Budget and is the Vice-Chair of Planning and Economic Development,  Fred has always delivered for Detroit. 

Fred is running for Mayor because he understands that this is a critical time in Detroit.  As residents, we have an important choice to make: Do we want to go forward or backwards?  It is important that we build up our communities in a way that serves every Detroiter.  But Fred can’t do it alone.  It takes the contributions of strong supporters like you to build a City, together, where every Detroiter has the opportunity to thrive.
