Durham Delivers is a local candidate-led effort designed to deliver the entire win margin for Democrats statewide in North Carolina by increasing voter turnout in Durham County to 80%. By driving record turnout from the state’s bluest county, we can create upstream momentum for critical statewide races, including turning North Carolina blue for the first time since 2008 to elect Kamala Harris as President of the United States. It’s all possible when Durham delivers!

WHAT CAN DURHAM DELIVER?

• ☑ The ENTIRE win margin for Democrats statewide. The difference between 75% and 80% turnout in Durham is about 10,000 votes. Statewide margins have been historically very tight in North Carolina. Governor Cooper won by about 10,000 votes in 2016. President Obama won by only about 14,000 votes in 2008. Attorney General Stein won by about 13,000 votes in 2020. In 2020, about 77% of registered voters turned out in Durham; this year, we need 80% to secure victories statewide.
• ☑ The end of Donald Trump’s political career and 16 electoral votes for Kamala Harris. There is no electoral path for Donald Trump without North Carolina, meaning that Durham alone has the potential to determine the fate of democracy. 
• ☑ Abortion rights for 11 million North Carolinians. North Carolina is the last place in the South without a full out ban. The entire region is depending on us for care. 
• ☑ A massive return on investment. The entire initiative has limited overhead and a total spend of $200,000 – less than the cost of one traditional TV advertisement. It is much cheaper and more effective to focus on a place full of committed Democratic voters than it is to run a widespread persuasion campaign.
