North Carolina is a critical state for 2024. Winning its electoral votes would all but guarantee Kamala Harris's election as President, and the state faces a gubernatorial contest that will define its path forward, either cementing a conservative takeover or enabling a progressive resurgence.
And turnout in Durham is the key to NC's success.

In 2020, Durham gave over 80% of its votes to Joe Biden and Roy Cooper, providing a 110,000 vote cushion against the rural red wave. But nearly 60,000 registered voters did not vote.
Durham has never had paid organizing staff, but with sufficient resources, we can move mountains. A canvassing program, starting now, and led by a full-time organizer and staffed by part-time canvassers working year-round can reach those 60,000 voters (and thousands more who have moved to Durham in the last four years), and Durham can be the difference between North Carolina staying red or going blue in 2024.
