A lot has changed since we first advertised this fundraiser featuring Michael McFaul, former ambassador to Russia. In addition to the need to reschedule the event from its original date last month, Ambassador McFaul, a leading expert on Russian/American foreign policy, has become a prominent player in the fallout from the recent bizarre summit in Helsinki.
He has become a fixture on TV news, analysis, and late-night shows, and we have decided to change the venue for the event to accommodate a larger-than-expected crowd. It will be a great privilege and a treat to meet and hear from him as he reflects on crucial events of the day and talks about his new book, “FROM COLD WAR TO HOT PEACE: An American Ambassador in Putin’s Russia“. You won’t want to miss it!
The Democratic Volunteer Center is completely self-funded, with no paid staff: every dollar we raise goes directly to our operating costs. Funds are kept in the account of the Santa Clara County Democratic Party for our exclusive use.
