Josh Turek is a two-time Paralympic gold medalist, Iowa State Representative, and disability advocate running for the U.S. Senate.


Born with spina bifida, Josh underwent 21 surgeries by age 12 before going on to represent Team USA at four Paralympic Games and win two gold medals. After retiring from basketball, he returned home to Council Bluffs and ran for the Iowa House, winning a Trump-carried district by just six votes and later earning reelection by five points while Trump carried the same seat by eight.


In the legislature, Josh has fought for workers, veterans, people with disabilities, public schools, affordable healthcare, and working families.


Now he’s running for Senate to lower costs, protect Social Security and Medicare, strengthen unions, fight corporate monopolies, support Iowa farmers, and make Washington work for people who actually work for a living.
