Matt Dunlap is a lifelong Mainer and experienced public servant running to represent Maine’s 2nd Congressional District.


Raised on a farm near Bar Harbor, Matt worked as a dishwasher, bartender, and fur trapper before entering public service. He went on to serve as Maine’s Secretary of State and now serves as State Auditor, where he has worked to eliminate waste, prevent fraud, and save taxpayers money.


Matt is running for Congress to lower costs for working families, protect Social Security, make healthcare and prescription drugs more affordable, support rural hospitals, expand affordable childcare and housing, and take on powerful special interests.


ME-02 will be one of the most competitive House races in the country. Building the campaign necessary to compete across this large and politically independent district will take grassroots support from people who believe working Mainers deserve a voice in Washington.
