Marcy Kaptur, a lifelong resident of Northwest Ohio, has dedicated her career to public service, fighting for economic and health security for all Ohioans. She still lives in her childhood home and has consistently advocated for working people, veterans, and seniors. Kaptur is one of the longest-serving women in the U.S. House of Representatives, where she has been a tireless advocate for her district.


Throughout her tenure, Kaptur has been instrumental in securing federal investments for her district, opposing harmful trade deals like NAFTA, and protecting the Great Lakes. She has also been a staunch defender of high-wage jobs and has worked across party lines to benefit her constituents.
