She holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and has a background in engineering and business, working with companies like General Motors and as an entrepreneur in the restaurant industry.


Bynum lives in Happy Valley, Oregon, with her husband and four children. Her deep commitment to her community and family values drive her work in public service.


As a state legislator, Bynum has championed criminal justice reform, economic development, and educational equity. She played a key role in passing legislation aimed at police accountability and supporting small businesses, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
