Aftyn Behn currently serves in the Tennessee House of Representatives for District 51, having assumed office on October 4, 2023.  


Born November 24, 1989, she holds a B.A. in psychology with honors and a Master of Social Work (Administration & Policy Practice) from the University of Texas at Austin.  Before entering elected office, Behn worked as a licensed social worker and community organizer. Among her roles were campaign director for RuralOrganizing.org and advocate for marginalized communities in Tennessee.
