Missy Cotter Smasal is a veteran, former small business owner, and mother running for Congress in Virginia’s Coastal region. She served as a Surface Warfare Officer in the U.S. Navy during Operation Enduring Freedom and later ran a successful Rita’s Italian Ice franchise. Currently, she is the Executive Director of a nonprofit supporting women veterans and serves on the Chesapeake Bay Commission.
Missy’s campaign focuses on improving veterans’ services, enhancing public safety, expanding economic opportunities, protecting reproductive rights, and ensuring stable government policies for Coastal Virginia.
