Mitchell Berman is a registered nurse, union member, and longtime VA caregiver running for Congress in Wisconsin’s 1st District.

 

Raised in a working-class family in rural Wisconsin, Mitchell became the first person in his family to graduate from college while working three jobs. He has spent more than 23 years in healthcare, including over a decade caring for veterans and military families at the VA, and he still works as an emergency nurse today.

 

He’s running to lower healthcare and prescription-drug costs, protect Social Security and Medicare, strengthen Wisconsin manufacturing, support unions and working families, protect rural hospitals, and clean up corruption in Washington.


WI-01 is one of the most competitive House races in the country.
