Protect our Pollinators

Over the last 20 years, the population of the Western Bumblebee has plummeted 93%.

Not long ago, the Western Bumblebee was one of the most populous bee species in the country, ranging from New Mexico’s deserts to the Alaskan tundra. Today, this once-common pollinator is fighting for survival.

Bees are the canaries in the coal mine -- their deaths warn us that the way we’re growing food is on a fatal track. The pesticide industry is a key perpetrator in the decline of bees, butterflies and other pollinators. Many scientists have warned of the potential for an ecosystem collapse.

We can and must avert this mass extinction. Donate to Friends of the Earth and help protect the Western Bumblebee and other bee species.
