Friends of the Earth

YOUR GIFT MATCHED: The 75 remaining orcas need you. Double your tax-deductible, planet-saving gift NOW!

Southern Resident orcas Cappuccino, Marina, and now young Ripple are dead. Only 75 Southern Resident orcas are left in the wild – and many are starving, grieving, and growing weaker every day. But Big Oil’s destructive practices pose a serious threat to the remaining orca pods.

Catastrophic Big Oil and shipping megaprojects are in the works -- and they would be devastating to the remaining Southern Resident orca population. The Roberts Bank T2 shipping terminal project and expanded Trans Mountain Pipeline would increase cargo and tanker ship traffic. They would disrupt migration patterns of Chinook salmon -- the food orcas rely on -- making it even harder for starving orcas to find food. If we don’t act now, these threats could wipe out the remaining orcas and we could be the last generation to share the earth with these majestic creatures.

Meanwhile, the climate crisis is only further escalating. That means EVERY habitat for vital species will be at risk. We MUST fight back to save our only Earth before it's too late.

That’s why a generous group of donors has agreed to match all gifts, up to $850,000 – but only until 11:59 p.m. on December 31.

With our biggest fundraising deadline of the year approaching, we’re on track to FALL SHORT of our critical $850,000 goal. Missing this crucial goal could mean potentially cutting back on our work in 2024, so we had to reach out ASAP.

If you care about a just, sustainable future -- now has never been a better time to give. Please make your $27 tax-deductible membership gift now, before it’s too late!
