Bears Ears and Grand Staircase-Escalante are two of our most iconic Western monuments. They are home to stunning desert landscapes, sacred to several Native American nations, and are prized natural heritage sites.
But yesterday, Trump announced plans to SHRINK these protected areas by a whopping 90%. This decision means this invaluable landscape, which has been stewarded by Indigenous peoples since time immemorial, will be threatened by industrial interests like oil and gas drilling and mining.
