The walk will begin at 8:00am promptly, so please arrive by 7:45am.
The birds are up early!
Learn the basics of identifying local birds by their songs and the sounds. The walk will be led by Peter Schoenberger, one of Ulster County’s top birders, who will show us patterns of sound and help put a visual to the avian orchestra we hear all the time. After the walk, we will enjoy a lovely picnic brunch together.
What to bring:
- Binoculars if you have them
- Favored Bug Spray
- Hat/ Sunblock
- Comfy clothing and shoes for easy walking
- Water
- Note pad and pen
- Rain Gear if needed
The birding part of this event will be along driveways, a road, and possibly hiking paths. There will be no difficult terrain or hard hiking.
Proceeds benefit the WDC's crucial 2025 election efforts.
