Edgecombe County has a rich history that is deeply intertwined with the growth and development of North Carolina since being established in 1741. It has an even stronger history of being a county that is able to overcome all odds through the resiliency, hard work, and determination of those that call it home.
Through all of these historic moments Edgecombe County has never held a full time Democratic Party Headquarters. In a county that is and has always been center to the strength of the Democratic Party in Eastern North Carolina and the advancement of African Americans in politics it is beyond time that this point of history to is able to be overcome.
In 2024 the first ever full time ECDP Headquarters will not only serve as a testament to our county's rich history but will also provide a space for community members to once again engage, stage, and celebrate. It will serve as a venue for town hall discussions, educational seminars, civic engagement, and events.
