Hi, I'm Elaine Marshall!

I was the first woman elected to statewide office in 1996 when I was elected Secretary of State. I am the only woman to ever defeat race car legend Richard "the King" Petty in a race.

I take my job - and service to North Carolina - serious. During my time as Secretary of State, I have overhauled the office, fostered partnerships, and created initiatives in order to make it easier to do business in our great state.

Now, all this is in jeopardy with our MAGA opponent who wants to take over Elections (in the entire history of our state, the Secretary of State's office has never conducted elections). This is what we're up against this year.

This is an important race with important matters at stake. Our office is the heartbeat of the business community, and our state is constantly ranked number 1 in doing business. We cannot take this race for granted.

Please chip in today so we can communicate with voters across the state. With over 1 million newly registered voters since I was last on the ballot, we have our work cut out for us.

Thanks for all you do!
