Your Donation to El Batey will help us:

  • Provide tuition free assistance to low income families.
  • Produce and create cultural performances, art exhibits and other cultural and historical programming and events.
  • Provide leadership training and mentoring to Puerto Rican youth so they can become agents of change in their communities.
  • Develop an evidence-based curriculum of traditional Puerto Rican dance, music, culture, identity and history.


El Batey Inc. presents LEVEL UP. Level Up is a youth program specifically designed to improve the lives of young kids of color in underserved neighborhoods. Providing them with the ongoing support they need to think more broadly about their future. 


Our goals as a “ Level UP Community” are to ensure that:

All of our children will see the Arts (martial arts; dancing; singing; and drumming) as a way to engage their brains creatively, strengthen their sense of belonging and connection with others, and boost their physical and emotional health.

All of our children in our community enter school socially and emotionally prepared with our SEL curriculum

All of our children in our community read at grade level by third grade
