"Every political woman needs to develop skin as tough as rhinoceros hide" -- Eleanor Roosevelt.
Join women Democrats from the Northwest Suburbs at the annual Eleanor Roosevelt Tea on Sunday, October 4th, 2 to 4 p.m. at The Belvedere, 1170 W. Devon Ave., Elk Grove Village, IL 60007.
We'll hear from candidates who are running for office in the November midterm elections. Invited speakers include Democratic U.S. Senate Nominee Juliana Stratton, U.S. Congresswoman Delia Ramirez, Democratic U.S. Congressional Nominee Melissa Bean, and candidates for the Illinois State Legislature, Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Cook County Board, and County Judges.
As is our tradition, only women are allowed to address the group. Male candidates can elect a woman to speak to the group on their behalf.
Northwest Suburban Women Democrats (IL) is dedicated to identifying, recruiting and supporting Democratic women candidates for local, state and national office and back progressive elected female Democrats. While our main event is an annual Eleanor Roosevelt Tea, held in September, we have offered mentoring and candidate training for women candidates from the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.
