My name is Holly Cruz, and I'm running for school board in Sumner County. District 9 deserves a representative who shows up, speaks up, and stands up for our students, teachers, and families.

Right now, too many real issues facing our schools are being ignored- from learning gaps and teacher retention to classroom safety. Our school board needs leaders who will listen to families, ask tough questions, and keep the focus where it belongs: on the success and well-being of our entire school community.

As a former educator and proud parent of two Sumner County students, I am the only District 9 candidate with a direct, daily connection to our schools. I see what is happening firsthand. Resources and support are stretched thin. Teachers are underpaid and undervalued. Our district is full of dedicated people working hard for our kids, yet too often their voices go unheard and board priorities don't always reflect what our classrooms truly need.

District 9 deserves more than unanswered emails and a silent seat at the table. We need real representation. I am ready to fight for what our families, teachers, and students have been asking for: real support and real results.

But I cannot do this alone. This is a true grassroots campaign - no big donors, no outside backing - just neighbors who believe our schools deserve better.
