It has been a longtime dream of mine to serve in the General Assembly and with everything going on lately, NOW is the time to give the district a choice - a choice for someone who will support public schools and keeping taxpayer money in Arkansas; someone who will support keeping Arkansas the Natural State and not compromise our beautiful Buffalo River; and someone who will support continued transparency in Government.
Through my work in child welfare, I have seen firsthand some of the things our state is lacking when it comes to caring for our citizens. It simply isn't possible for many of our neighbors to pull themselves up by their bootstraps, especially when mental health and addiction are in the mix. We need a leader who is committed to investing in our people and not just expanding our prisons. It was absolutely a slap in the face for Arkansans to be given a one time $150 tax credit while the Governor's office touts a $1.161 BILLION surplus. We need a leader who is committed to the people and not big business and corporate interest.
