A fundraiser in support of Sepi Shyne for West Hollywood City Council!


Come out for a fun night and support electing Sepi! She will be the first woman of color and second lesbian ever on the West Hollywood City Council and the first out LGBTQ+ Iranian-American elected to public office in the entire nation!

BIOS:

Sepi Shyne is an Iranian-American lawyer and small business owner. When elected, she will be the first out LGBT Iranian American elected official in the entire United States. Sepi has lived for over a decade in West Hollywood with her wife. She serves on the City of West Hollywood's Lesbian & Gay Advisory Board (LGAB).


Her civil rights advocacy spans nearly two decades, and she served as Co-President of the LGBT Bar Association of Los Angeles in 2008, during which she advocated for nationwide marriage equality and against Proposition 8 in Los Angeles and on CNN. Sepi served on the Board of Governors for the Human Rights Campaign and currently serves as Co-Chair of Community Engagement for Human Rights Campaign Los Angeles

Mikalah Gordon, a Las Vegas native, made her entertainment debut as a Top 12 contestant on season 4 of American Idol. Audiences fell in love with her powerful voice and unique stage presence, and she's been hitting all the right notes ever since. Her run on Idol earned her a record deal with famed judge Randy Jackson on Interscope Records, making her a household name. In addition to her vocal success, Mikalah has made her mark on the LA compedy scene with her edgy stand-up performances, headlining at The Comedy Store and the Laugh Factory to name a few. She's starred on the WB sitcom "Living with Fran" and appeared on the Tyra Banks Show and American Idol Extra, as well as CBS hit show, "The Unit". She is currently the morning show host for the first LGBTQIA+ radio station on FM radio called Channel Q.


DJ Lisa Pittman is a musically versatile DJ with a Las Vegas residency for the mega nightclubs TAO Las Vegas and Marquee Las Vegas. She has DJ'd with pop artists like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and hip hop artists like French Montana, YG, and Tyga. Gloria Bigelow has five television comedy specials under he belt, and you can view her current work in out On Stage, airing on Pluto TV after a theatrical release. Gloria has been published in an anthology titled "Here Comes the Bridges! Reflections on Lesbian Love and Marriage" and was a top 100 comic on Last Comic Standing.


Dana Goldberg has been seen on TBS, ABC, LOGO, and Last Comic Standing. With performances at the San Francisco International Comedy Competition, HBO's Comedy Festival, and the world famous Fringe Festival in Scotland, her quit wit and playful stage presence have her earning loyal fans across the country and around the world. Goldberg was voted one of the Top Five Funniest Lesbians by Curve Magazine and has shared stages with Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Bill Clinton, Meryl Streep, Mariah Carey, and more.


Jackie Monahan, as seen on Last Comic Standing and as winner of TimeOut's Joke of the Year, is a master of her craft. Her debut comedy album, "These Lips" is available from Uproar Entertainment.


Jackie Steele is a Los Angeles-based comedian and produces Clown at the Comedy Store.


Sarah Hyland-Rosenstein is an accomplished actress and comedian. Sarah has appeared on such seminal shows as MTV's Punk'd and MAD TV.


Ashlei Shyne is an actress, writer, and improviser from Dayton Ohio. Ashlei is known for her film performances in "Johnson Family Dinner", "Dyke Central", and "Don't Touch If You Ain't Prayed II". Ashlei performs improv and sketch comedy with her queer POC team, Rainbow Bright Comedy, which Ashlei created to give queer people of color a platform within the comedy community.


Yazmin Monet Watkins is an internationally-touring bisexual spoken word poet and actress based out of Los Angeles, CA. Yazmin has opened for the likes of Angela Davis, Amiri Baraka, Sonia Sanchez, and Les Nubians.She is the author of "Love Without Limits: The Bi-Laws of Love" and as an actress, has been cast in feature films, commercials, and new media projects with the likes of Russel Simmons and Issa Rae.


Melanie Vesey was recently featured on Amazon's Laugh After Dark.


Percy Rustomji is known for appearances on Nickelodeon's hit show Game Shakers and is the Warm Up Comic for TV series Lip Sync Battle.


Mikey Scott, known for appearances on Showtime and Oxygen, is producer and co-host of the Mikey and Teddy Show.


Kevin Sullivan is a regular performer on the Los Angeles stand-up circuit, including at the Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and the Laugh Factory. Kevin also co-hosts "Two Broke Gays", a podcast that centers around LGBTQ+ issues in the comedy space.
