Community Advocacy & Agency Accountability - Multi-Agency Community Walkthroughs: Coordinated and led direct, multi-agency neighborhood walkthroughs (including the critical walkthrough at 1828 Q Street SE) to directly address property code violations, unauthorized building occupancy, and neighborhood standards with city inspectors.
- Demanding District Transparency: Actively fought for transparency and public accountability from city agencies, including filing a formal FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) appeal with the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) to ensure residents get the information they deserve.
- Fiscal Oversight: Initiated formal requests for independent financial audits of the commission, ensuring that local taxpayer funds are handled with total transparency and strict oversight.
Neighborhood Safety & Infrastructure - Street-Level Safety Updates: Consistently monitored and provided timely public safety, traffic, and infrastructure updates to keep Fairlawn and Anacostia residents informed and secure.
