ABOUT DR. MARKOWITZ

Eliz Markowitz is running in the November 2026 election to represent State House District 26. She is a Fort Bend County native, raised in Sugar Land by a teacher and an oil worker. Eliz has spent her career advocating for reforms to healthcare technology and public education. She currently works at the University of Houston teaching Public Health and as an instructor and textbook author with the Princeton Review, where she trains other teachers across the nation. Eliz earned her Bachelor’s in Computer Science from Trinity University, three Master Degrees in Management of Technology, Health Informatics, and Public Administration, and her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction: Learning, Design, and Technology.
