Exploring a Run for City Council

My name is Emilio Avila Solis, a lifelong Democrat exploring a run for the Phoenix City Council in District 7.

I have lived in Phoenix since the age of 5 and have worked to elect many Democrats since the age of 19. The latest Democrat being write-in candidate, now State Senator Dr. Eva Diaz in Arizona’s 22nd Legislative District in 2022.

I know the issues of the district and of the city firsthand. I am exploring running for this open seat to prioritize the issues that are most important to everyone within the district and the city. From the lack of housing, the sharp rise of homelessness and the looming water crisis. There are no easy answers, but they are solvable with collaborative work with the county, state and federal government.
