Hi all! Thank you for visiting my fundraising page <3

This summer, I am a fellow with Seeding Change, an organization that develops the leadership of Asian American young people to build towards a just and sustainable future. Through Seeding Change, I am working on the Youth Team at the Chinese Progressive Association of San Francisco, engaging directly with SF Asian American youth and supporting their leadership development and sharpening their political analysis.

Growing up working-poor in an immigrant neighborhood of Brooklyn, I’ve witnessed class-based, race-based, and gender-based inequality from a young age. I have seen the ways that such discrimination and violence have harmed my parents, friends, and community at large. Being a Seeding Change Fellow, however, has allowed me to not only critically interrogate the living conditions of my community members, but also begin to envision a world beyond that is more equitable. Through this Fellowship, I have met other justice-oriented Asian American young people who empower me to deepen my commitment to my communities and create spaces where we can collectively build towards love, joy, and healing. As much as organizing work is about challenging the status quo, it is also about uplifting and empowering communities!

Because of this, it would mean a lot if you could support the work that I and the other 24 Fellows have been doing this summer. Please consider donating to help me reach my fundraising goal of $350. You can also Venmo me at @mle-td with the note “Seeding Change.” No contribution is too small, as every dollar matters and is appreciated.

Thank you for your time and contribution <3

In solidarity,

Emily
