We feel confident that if every absentee vote is counted in a fair and transparent process, Emily will come out on top. But that's no guarantee.
The Brooklyn Board of Elections handling of this primary has already been scandalous: requested absentees that never arrived, voters given only half the ballot, confusion and uncertainty at the polls.
We need to raise another $3,000 by the end of the week to make sure our campaign can hire the legal representation we need to fight to the finish.
This isn't just about electing Emily to office. It's about the future of democracy in Brooklyn.
