The Empower Oakland Committee believes voters want commonsense politicians who care about Oakland's primary challenges: rising crime, rampant homelessness, harsh conditions for small businesses, and the city's budget woes.
Empower Oakland will do the research and share with Oaklanders what is happening in City Hall. We will provide simple and clear explanations of which politicians are effective and which are not.
During each election, we carefully research and prepare a voter guide that cuts through the noise and offer voters real alternatives: candidates who are committed to solving our biggest problems, in practical ways. We distribute the guide via mail, email and a website.
Your money will go to only one thing: advertising our endorsements (via the voter guide). We have a dedicated group of founders, experienced political minds, and executives who are volunteering their time to help with the newsletter, website, and voter guide research. This enables us to use your capital in the most efficient way possible - not on headcount, but on direct voter outreach.
By giving to Empower Oakland Committee, you will effectively be giving money to all of the races in Oakland, because we will be promoting a slate of the most competent and effective candidates in Oakland. This city cannot be governed by just 1 office. It requires a team of elected officials - the Mayor, District Attorney, City Attorney, City Councilmembers and County Supervisors need to all work together to ensure Oakland thrives.
Please consider giving $500, $1,000 or $5,000 to our cause.
