Unseat the Republicans responsible for the #TrumpShutdown

Donald Trump and Republicans chose to shutdown the government tonight rather than protect children. Our communities have to suffer the consequences of this shutdown because Republicans keep using our children’s health and safety as a hostage to push Trump’s racist agenda forward.

Republicans in key states like Texas, Georgia, Nevada, Michigan, Florida and Mississippi are vulnerable to being defeated in 2018! Not only are their poll numbers tied to Trump’s abysmal approval rating, but these are places where Black votes will make the difference. We know we can with these elections in the South, the election of Doug Jones in Alabama is proof that Black voters can win in traditionally Republican states.

We'll take back the House and Senate by:

• By running a state-of-the-art digital engagement program with new organizing tools and hyper-targeted ads;
  
• Scaling up our peer-to-peer SMS program and tapping the energy and power Color Of Change PAC volunteers;
  
• Building a Black organizing team that develops on-the-ground organizers;
  
• Turning out the Black vote we will make sure Black voters are registered and turn out to vote, when it matters.
