End Poverty in California (EPIC) envisions a state without poverty that provides opportunity for all. All of our current and future efforts will help change the narrative about poverty from one based on lies and stereotypes, to an authentic narrative based on the strengths, assets, and lived experiences of individuals and communities.
In 2022, EPIC launched a statewide listening tour to meet with Californians living in poverty. At every stop – in places like Los Angeles, Riverside, Fresno, Contra Costa, San Bernardino, and Alameda counties – we convene with community members to learn about their experiences and ideas. Our listening sessions are the launch pad from which we partner with communities across the state to build power and establish policy priorities. Since our launch, we've visited 20 counties, and we'll reach every county in California by 2026.
If you're interested in helping EPIC keep communities at the center of our effort to end poverty in California, and you believe in the power of amplifying authentic voices, stories, and leadership, please consider making a donation today!
