Together, we made history. In 2024, the gap in this race was more than 25 points. This year, we cut it to about 4. Tens of thousands of you believed in a new direction for our district, and you showed up.

When a race is this close, and when more than 14,000 provisional ballots are still being reviewed, voters deserve full confidence that every ballot was counted correctly. That’s why we’re preparing to request a recount.

Ohio law gives candidates the right to request a recount after the election is certified, but it isn’t free. Our campaign must pay a deposit to the county boards of elections for every precinct we ask to recount, across Butler, Hamilton, Darke, Preble, and Miami counties. We also need trained observers and legal counsel at every recount site to make sure the process is transparent and every ballot is reviewed fairly.

This isn’t about sowing doubt. It’s about making sure the final count is accurate, complete, and trusted by every voter in this district, no matter who they supported.

The deadline to file comes just days after certification, so we need to have these funds ready now. Your gift today helps cover precinct deposits, observers, and legal support.
