Just One More Push

In these final days before Election Day, I am doubling down on my commitment to only asking for and raising what our campaign truly needs.

Right now, that means ensuring my dedicated team of staffers are compensated fairly, covering last-minute campaign materials, and maintaining a small safety cushion.

As the only candidate in this race focused on stronger labor protections and collective bargaining rights, I made a pledge not to repeat the exploitative campaign practices I have also have experienced, by:

  • Refusing to offer unpaid positions through internship programs that are not tied to academic credit, or fellowships that lack a formal learning component
  • Providing monthly stipends and gas stipends to address the overlooked inequalities of temporary campaign work, which often determine who can get their foot in the door and who cannot
  • Offering wraparound support to my staff

Internal consistency matters deeply to me. If I’ve made these principles non-negotiable in how I run my campaign, imagine how they will guide how I legislate as Delegate.
