Toward an Equal Texas
2021 was the worst year for LGBTQ+ legislative attacks in states across the country and in Texas. An unprecedented number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills targeting transgender children were filed. Over 30 of these bills were introduced in Texas and Equality Texas fought to defeat them all.
Every Texan deserves the right to live in a safe place without fear of losing their rights. We should all be able to live authentically and love who we choose to love. Equality Texas has worked for over 30 years to protect and advance the rights of LGBTQ+ Texans. As we face the uncertainty of a special session, we need your financial support to continue to hold the line and fight back against discrimination and misinformation about our community.
