Welcome to the Eleanor Roosevelt Democratic Club!

Our Purpose:

• To identify, interview, endorse, and elect Democratic candidates for local, state and national office
• To serve our community and our neighborhoods by working together with elected officials, community groups, and neighborhood associations. 

During the year we hold meetings, which are open to all interested members of the community. Prominent citizens, elected officials, and candidates for office are frequently guest speakers. We talk about issues of concern — and what we can do about them. Additionally, we hold forums, often with other Democratic Clubs and organizations on issues that concern us politically and as a community. And we also have time to socialize!

Finding the right candidates — from local offices right up to the President — and getting them elected is one of our prime concerns. If you care about who is running the city, state, and federal governments, getting involved in your local political club is the place to start. And we are active — all year — not just at election time. We have committees working on issues of community and political concern. You will find us at political events, at the Community Board, at community events, and at street fairs. 

The basic $25 annual membership affords you the following benefits:

• Opportunity to meet and build relationships with Democratic community leaders 
• Complimentary admission to our Summer Garden Party, September Social and Holiday Party
• Discounted tickets to annual fundraiser
• Eligibility to run for club positions (including judicial delegate and county committee)
• Eligibility to vote on club endorsements and resolutions
