I care deeply about the future of our community and our state and in my four years of service now, I have certainly been struck by that common value among legislators even when we disagree and the issues are incredibly challenging. It’s what gives me awe and hope about the process: 150 people from all over the state and all kinds of backgrounds and perspectives are willing to engage deeply for 4-5 months a year in order to respond to the moment and try to do better for the future.
