Protect endangered species and the Endangered Species Act

Scientists estimate that half of the species on the planet could be facing extinction by the end of the century, unless we enact real change.


This October, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service announced the extinction of 21 species–never to be seen or heard again.


This does not have to be. Extinction is not inevitable–it is a political choice. And the United States has the world's strongest and most effective tool to stop it: the Endangered Species Act.


The Endangered Species Act is more than 99% effective at stopping extinction. It just needs to be enforced and given adequate resources.


The Endangered Species Coalition is working to fully fund the Endangered Species Act and pressures the Administration every day to carry it out.
