My name is Eunisses Hernandez, daughter of Mexican migrants, survivor, lifelong resident of North East LA, and in June 2022 my team and I won a historic election for LA City Council District 1.


For too long policy in Los Angeles has been made about us without us. As a lifelong Angeleno, I have been in this fight for a long time but my experience the last five years working with local and state legislators, system actors, and communities most devastated by criminalization, the war on drugs, and mass incarceration has led me and my community to launch this campaign. I'm a policy advocate, campaign strategist, and community organizing leader and our campaign is here to fight for equity, justice, and compassion in city hall.
